Fallow Field of Dreams
Blows the winds of time
through this hollow husk
Rustling among emotions
that have turned to dust
Gusting through memories
of eroded dreams
Tiny seeds of sanity
seeping through the seams
Battered hopes dried out
in a spirit fallow
Quality of life withered
beneath pains shadow
