Falling Tears
Her tears fall
softly
Into the shallow
silver pond
Shimmering in the
moonlight
Each crystal drop
cascading
Joining the other
millions of tears
She looks upon her
reflection
As she dips her toes
into the cool water
Sadness comes in
waves just like
the waves that lap
upon her toes
It would take a
thousand years
For the hundreds of
falling tears
Until the hurting
heart washes away
The pain she was
feeling today
She sits in the
stillness of the
night
Thoughts and
memories come alive
The day brought
sorrow and now
Night brings a new
tomorrow
What once was-- is
forever gone.
