Falling Out of Love

Falling Out Of Love

It is a different thing,
falling out of love.
No panacea,
can help this faltering disease.
It is so different to not
feel love.

To feel cold whenever you are near,
you are warm - you were hot.
There are no chills, no tingling
up my spine, it was so different
in love, and you were mine.

These bonds I often speak of
are so tattered, barely holding.
If I were near a sharp object,
my first reaction would be,
to sever the bonds, binding
you to me.
