Falling Glitter

While lying in bed one Saturday night I felt God trying to speak to me, but I was so exhausted I drifted into sleep as He was talking. Before completely passing out I could faintly hear Him say, “You can’t do it alone.” The following morning was Sunday, and I woke up in the most pleasant and peaceful fashion ever. I was somewhere between deep sleep and consciousness when I began to hear falling glitter. Well, at least what sounded like falling glitter. I mean, if falling glitter had a sound I heard it while waking up on this particular Sunday morning. About every 10 seconds I heard glitter falling like an angelic alarm clock until I reached full consciousness. It was an unusually early hour for me to wake up, but the sound of falling glitter was so pleasant to me that it didn’t matter- I really wanted to hear it again. As I sat up in bed the Word spoken to me the previous night was spoken into my heart again; “You can’t do it alone.” After that the second part of Gods’ message came; “You need My thoughts and My ways.” So the total message was, “You can’t do it alone. You need My thoughts and My ways.” Unable to sleep, I prayed and searched online for something that would help me understand what God was saying. I went to church that morning anticipating a greater revelation of what He wanted me to see. To this day He is still showing me, and it seems to be a thing I will continue to learn for a lifetime. In any case, doubt I’ll ever forget the Word, or the peaceful and pleasant morning that made me feel like I was awakened by an angel.
