Falling For Beloved

Searching, climbing, striving alone, So cold, so dark no color in sight Trying to attain what is still out of reach Looking for warmth some color sun light I finally got back to that place on the hill, So calm, so quiet yet still all alone There as I stood I took in the moment, I started looking at all the unknown To the north only light fading to darkness A place I had been and never again To the east, to the west I was slightly impressed, Not real, no thrill and a little bit plain Now to the south there was quite a sight, Sunny, clear, warm and inviting Full of color and mystery for making of dreams, I take the first step, it was so enticing The ground gave away from under my feet, My footing is starting to feel very weak How can I fight this wanting of flight, As I fall down from such a great height? Now I am falling, I’ve been here before How far will I go is there an end? Will I land hard, will I land softly? One never knows, but first must ascend
