Fallen from grace, our heart seeks expansion
That we once again see God face-to-face
Cyclic pain and joy cause agitation
Pursuit of happiness, unending chase
Memory erased, life puzzles we lace
Following our ego spawned suggestion
To get ahead, we thereby brace to race
Fallen from grace, our heart seeks expansion
One day we get to point of exhaustion
Surrendering thought, relying on grace
Stillness and silence our meditation
That we once again see God face-to-face
Recognising stagnation as disgrace
Enter the vibrant void of cessation
Fears and desires, gradually deface
Cyclic pain and joy cause agitation
At ease like the breeze; earth a play station
Detachedly flowing at an easy pace
Ceasing to offer any reaction
Pursuit of happiness, unending chase
Each offered experience, we embrace
Choosing vibrant life of celebration
Each ego impression, to root we trace
That there no longer be separation
Fallen from grace
