Fall of Life, of Season

Comes Fall, trees seem to rehearse Spring’s splendour, Leaves shine forth with the colours of autumn, I muse on my innings to come, unsure, What my new journey would be like then on. To me, autumn spreads in air Spring-like whiff When every leaf wears smile of a flower, As if to hint: no life need suffer grief, Death no more than heralds life’s fading power. Linger on a li’le more, Fall, at thy crest, Let my soul imbibe thy lavish grandeur, I scarce know how Fate’s feathered my new nest, But let me imbibe all of autumn’s lure. O Fall ye seem to say: I fall to rise, And from my old age its echos arise. ___________________________________________ Sonnet |Nov 2023| fall, autumn, death
