Fall Is Upon Us

With a new month there are new changes.
The autumn air has stirred something inside of me
Childlike and care free

The leaves begin to turn
As does my heart and mind

I rush to wash all my favorite sweaters
Buy apples after the long summer of five dollars a pound
Step on every leaf on my way home
Stop in the park, everyone I know is there
The joy of fall is upon us
