Fall Feast

The closure of another day
as the setting sun
slid behind earth's orb
rays of light streaked
creating patterns across
a multi coloured sky
rows of swathed fields
created a huge feast
for all flying fowl
delightful for the find
the flocks indulged
in the fallen grains
harvest became a feast
before the evening retreat.

Hello Phyllis ... same here with the grain harvest. Flocks of Cockatoo, Corella, Galah and other seed eating species finish the harvest in the field - thank you Phyllis - Lindsay

They are cleaning the edge of the field mostly crows, blackbirds and gulls. Drive by each day and makes me smile. Hungry bunch they are. love phyl
