Fall Began With the Dew
Summer fades
Fall begins
Trading their grasp on our world
The dew creeps its way through the night
Leaving its blanket of mist behind
The droplets reflect the morning sun’s light
The colors in the trees sparkle
The common bright green in the leaves
Alter their colors
The yellows of the day
The oranges of the sun
The bright crimson of a hummingbird
Just as the stuff of dreams
The colors create a rainbow in the trees
I am mesmerized by the beauty
That began with the dew’s widespread
