Fall

For as long as I can remember I've never looked ahead, I've always walked with my head down so I could place every step, I've often been too cautious to keep up in the race, and though I fell behind I've never fallen out of place, I've never held on to anything when I sensed any doubt and I've never let go of anything I couldn't live without, I've never shown a smile I thought could be turned to a frown and I've never stood up when I could've been knocked down, I've never given up my heart without the exchange of another and I'll never love care-free without the same from the other, Because I've always been too afraid to fall for all I had to lose I've always been too afraid to fall, except in love with you

Shane this poem was well written and heartfelt. It was sweet in the end, but also conveyed a very clear message that caution in everything was necessary. That's something I know well, in trusting the wrong thing or person. My favorite stanza flowed amazingly "I've never held on to anything when I sensed any doubt and I've never let go of anything I couldn't live without," It was good to read your ink!

You're right. Great catch. I can't believe I didn't notice that before posting it. Thank you so much, SV. I must head read it in my head even without seeing actually seeing the word. I've edited it now though.
