Fall

Summertime is on vacay and winters on it's way, but in-between those little months fall takes it's place, breaking leaves fall off the trees and crowd the walk ways, a crunching sound step by step, a step i'd like to take, to the apple orchard for a piece of the pie, or to the pumpkin patch on a haunted hayride, burning woods through the day, and smoking through the night, smells like fall, if fall had a smell, this is right, October's here November's near, a shifting of the gears, we're thankful for the giving and also another year, Halloween movies, and family so dear, the scenery inspiring requiring a beer, Cheer's to this life and to reaching new heights, As the holiday rolls so does the Christmas lights, But for the time being fall is in the air, My favorite time of year, there's little time to spare!
