Fake
A genuine smile is hard to find
in a world that glamorizes false images.
The richness growing within the human mind
is silenced by the idols of physical beauty.
Frail eyes see the illusions painted
by people who wish to hide life's truths.
But every human soul becomes tainted
from following the world's dark roads.
Faces are covered in makeup's plaster,
showing others how a human peacock struts.
Society's opinion soon becomes their master,
and they eagerly lose their gift of individuality.
A spoken promise turns into a vow of lies,
after the victim vanishes from human sight.
As true service hides from half hearted tries,
society embraces a lifestyle that's fake.
