Faithfully Faithful

Faithfully Faithful You walked into my life to walk out right? Leaving my body cold and numb inside. You took my heart out and threw it on the ground. It shattered all over you, but you shook it off as my body turned blue… Having to think about every breath I take, every move I make…it wasn’t suppose to be this way. I hurt you, so you hurt me; what goes around comes around. I don’t want to believe it, but now I see it’s so true. I’m tossing and turning til’ I’m wrapped in these sheets… I can’t sleep as my mind races 2000 miles per hour and my heart skipping beats. I’m so lost that I feel like I can’t be found. Should I make this move or should I linger around like your cologne lingers at the tip of my fingers. I can’t shake the scents when you walk past me, so I’m tryin’ to make sense of the way things went. Ten is so incredible; I don’t want to quit you… like the rainbow needs rain… so glad that I met you. True love takes time, like digging for gold from the purest mine. You’re so confused and tense, but let me ease your mind and loosen your stress, give you some strength, and show you the length of time we spent. We should finish what you started. Just let me make your soul smile and show you not to be cold-hearted. If I say that I love you, it’s not to be confused with lust, cause’ there are so many deep feelings and it starts with trust. You lost it in me, so I gained it from you. I’ve always loved you more than you ever knew… a good sign that you came back to me; there’s just so much more to prove. I’ll walk by faith and not by sight, so there’s nothing to lose and I won’t have to fight. By: Aleasha A. Martin
