Faith In the Lord

Faith is taking God at His very Word
Believing Him for eternal life’s grace
Relying on His truth, the Spirit’s sword
Trusting His strength toward triumphant race.

As means to please the Lord, faith seeks His favor
Upheld by His omniscient assurance
To work well, midst hindrances, with fervor
For grand and great miracles’ appearance.

Faith propels love-driven Gospel-sharing
Pushes upward kingdom-advancement
Props Christians as disciples’ nurturing
Prods service for ministry engagement!

I then beseech Christ for faith*-increase now
While l live honoring Him; that's my vow!

*Luke 17:5 And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.

By the way, this poem was written in relation to our mission conference in 2018. Today in the Philippines, I am beholding a faith-anchored answer to my prayer, since one of the children in our orphanage has committed himself to do his part for mission-work during our 2023 Mission Conference last December 5-6.
