FAITH IN GOD WHO WANTS US TO BE FORGIVING

October 9 Faith in God Bible Meditations Based on Matthew 18-19

Key Verse – Matthew 18:21-22 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.

FAITH IN GOD WHO WANTS US TO BE FORGIVING God wants us to be forgiving by His compassion While settling us away from hatred’s oppression Amidst our need for His example’s supervision So that we can be guided toward faith’s heavenly vision. God wants us to be forgiving by His righteousness While stressing to us confession of our sinfulness Amidst our repentance while seeking His graciousness So that we can be strengthened toward faith’s steadfastness. God wants us to be forgiving by His reproof While stopping us from grumbling spoof Amidst our submission under His blessing-roof So that we can be filled toward faith’s abundance-proof. God wants us to be forgiving by His discipline While shutting us out from murmurings’ din Amidst our supplication for pardon of admitted sin So that we can be upheld toward faith’s humble win. God wants us to be forgiving by His truth’s empowerment While sanctifying us from disobedience-sentiment Amidst our pursuit for divine achievement So that we can be purified toward faith’s commitment. God wants us to be forgiving by His warning While shaking us of our trust that is waning Amidst our desire to be Scripturally learning So that we can be transformed toward faith’s refining. God wants us to be forgiving by His divine pleasure While snatching us from drowning into pride’s pressure Amidst our promise to serve Him with devotion we assure So that we can be satisfied toward faith’s eternal treasure.
