FAITH IN GOD WHO TAKES US TO HIS REST

August 1 Faith in God Bible Meditations Based on Isaiah 18-21 Key Verse – Isaiah 18:4 For so the Lord said unto me, I will take my rest, and I will consider in my dwelling place like a clear heat upon herbs, and like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest.
FAITH IN GOD WHO TAKES US TO HIS REST God takes us to His rest from burdens’ heaviness By girding us with His gracious readiness… So grateful are we to possess joy of salvation, full of goodness For our faith to stand against frustration-wastefulness. God takes us to to His rest from worldliness’ leadership By counselling us to stay within His fellowship… So privileged are we to dwell in His ministry-partnership For our faith to bear fruits in our stewardship and discipleship. God takes us to His rest from attacks of pride By directing us through His Word as our guide… So humbled are we to follow Him in every stride For our faith to continue in His will, never to backslide. God takes us to to His rest from wickedness’ blight By forgiving us of our confessed transgression to do what’s right… So thankful are we to move on, walking in His light For our faith to radiate along holiness’ fight. God takes us to to His rest from deception’s ruin By protecting us with His safeguarding in our prayerful win… So secured are we to trust His Scriptures against folly’s din For our faith to conquer falsity and temptation to sin. God takes us to to His rest from hypocrisy’s destruction By teaching us to cleave to His wise instruction… So blessed are we to learn by His exhortation For our faith to take heed of warning and admonition. God takes us to to His rest from sufferings’ woe By upholding us against pain and sorrow… So assured are we to be comforted by His presence-glow For our faith to continue in serving Him along blessings’ flow.
