FAITH IN GOD WHO RULES OVER US
God rules over us with His truth-proclamation
Surely charging us by His compassion’s function
Always strengthening our faith by His sanctification
So that we can bring forth fruits of our salvation.
God rules over us with His grace from sin-captivity
Surely redeeming us against hell’s penalty
Always guarding our faith by His authority
So that we can offer to Him, pardoned from iniquity.
God rules over us with His lawfulness
Surely requiring from us consecration’s earnestness
Always settling our faith by His foundation’s steadfastness
So that we can move forward along His goodness.
God rules over us with His Scriptural ordinance
Surely supplying us by His mercy’s abundance
Always exhorting our faith by His guidance
So that we can discern toward doubt’s avoidance.
God rules over us with His wisdom
Surely commanding us to seek Him and His kingdom
Always enabling our faith to practice Biblical freedom
So that we can serve Him along Scriptural Christendom.
God rules over us with His counsel
Surely teaching us to overcome worldly hassle
Always reinforcing our faith by His divine epistle
So that we can delight in His will wherein we nestle.
God rules over us with His fulfillment
Surely asserting to us His sovereign agreement
Always prevailing over our faith by His accomplishment
So that we can honor Him in our achievement.
