FAITH IN GOD WHO IS THE RESURRECTION AND THE LIFE
God is the resurrection and the life Who offers us His relationship
Never leaving us to suffer sin’s penalty in hell’s hardship
But bringing us into His salvation of everlasting fellowship
So that we can enjoy His friendship by faith’s trust in His partnership.
God is the resurrection and the life Who makes us rejoice
Never endangering us to perish with worldliness’ noise
But leading us toward right virtuous choice
So that we can stay in His presence by faith’s steadfast poise.
God is the resurrection and the life Who heals us from iniquity’s sickness
Never forsaking us to grieve in our transgression-caused weariness
But drawing us nearer into His heart of compassionate gentleness
So that we can rise from weakness by faith’s response to His lovingkindness.
God is the resurrection and the life Who comforts us in our trouble
Never abandoning us to weep because of guilt-rubble
But lifting us to behold His pardon, greatly stable
So that we can seek Him by faith’s submission since He does enable.
God is the resurrection and the life Who cares for us throughout eternity
Never treating us with coldness as we come to Him in our sincerity
But counselling us to walk along His sanctifying purity
So that we can testify about Him by faith’s certainty.
God is the resurrection and the life Who gives us spiritual nourishment
Never harming us toward temptation’s detriment
But guarding us upon His redemption-commitment
So that we can bear fruits by faith’s works for great commission fulfillment.
God is the resurrection and the life Who ushers us to His light
Never putting us to believe our doubts of deceiving blight
But converting us to follow Him along prayerful plight
So that we can serve Him well by faith’s diligence of heavenly delight.
