FAITH IN GOD WHO IS THE BEGINNING OF WISDOM
God is the beginning of wisdom for our instruction
While His law beautifies us with ornaments of sanctification
Against worldliness and carnality’s lustful provocation
In our walk by faith, overcoming temptation.
God is the beginning of wisdom for our spirituality
While His counsel teaches us toward our maturity
Against pride causing calamity of futility
In our growth by faith, trusting Him for our heavenly prosperity.
God is the beginning of wisdom for our understanding
While His commandments find us in His Word, sincerely abiding
Against unbelief along doubts’ binding
In our discretion by faith, declaring His truth for life-building.
God is the beginning of wisdom for our deliverance
While His reproof guards us with correction-assurance
Against foolishness that hinders our grace-filled perseverance
In our endurance by faith, involving in His kingdom’s furtherance.
God is the beginning of wisdom for our holiness
While His Scripture leads us toward testimony’s righteousness
Against selfishness, haughtiness, and covetousness
In our good works by faith, magnifying His greatness.
God is the beginning of wisdom for our servant-heart’s venture
While His precepts guide us to enjoy our His stewardship-nurture
Against slothfulness of unproductive and future
In our performance by faith, conquering self-pity’s torture.
God is the beginning of wisdom for our redemption-confidence
While His power secures us with His omniscient prudence
Against mockery of evil along curses’ incidence
In our commitment by faith, obeying Him in His providence.
