FAITH IN GOD WHO IS OUR HOPE
God is our hope and His favour is our desire
Such assures our faith of His love that’s always on fire
Always caring for us as His compassions require
Every time we wake up, till even when at night, we retire.
God is our hope as He reigns us continually
Such drives our faith to trust in Him completely
Always conquering our fears sweetly
Every time harsh crises surround us tremendously.
God is our hope with His freedom indeed
Such keeps our faith in prayer, unmindful of time to exceed
Always meeting us while responding to each need
Every time we seek Him so our souls He can feed.
God is our hope along His loving security
Such guards our faith against anguish and anxiety
Always enclosing us around His fatherly authority
Every time He fills us with His gladness’ certainty.
God is our hope that enables us to be peacefully settled
Such leads our faith where we are safely handled
Always directing us from being deceived and rattled
Every time we submit to Him our weary minds so embattled.
God is our hope as He hedges us around His presence
Such ushers our faith against goals that have no value or sense
Always exhorting us to serve Him with diligent persistence
Every time worldliness pulls us down by its alluring insistence.
God is our hope while we live for His glory
Such empowers our faith toward discipleship’s victory
Always blessing us since He saved us from hell’s fury
Every time we exalt Him in sharing His Gospel story.
