FAITH IN GOD WHO HELPS US OVERCOME OUR UNBELIEF
God helps us overcome our unbelief through His redemption
For us to thank His granted gift of eternal salvation
And be rescued from hell’s everlasting destruction
Truly valuing His sacrifice by faith’s praise for His act of justification.
God helps us overcome our unbelief through His Word
For us to understand His wisdom of Scriptures’ record
And be converted toward new-creation midst the Spirit’s sword
Truly receiving His truth by faith’s divine accord.
God helps us overcome our unbelief through His light
For us to behold His vision for heavenly flight
And be illumined along His transformation might
Truly depending on His direction by faith’s sight.
God helps us overcome our unbelief through His indwelling
For us to trust His counsel by His righteous calling
And be strengthened midst His touch of prayer-healing
Truly abiding in His will by faith’s reliance on His compassion, so unfailing.
God helps us overcome our unbelief through His empowerment
For us to learn from His miraculous accomplishment
And be enabled to serve Him with sincere commitment
Truly obeying His commandments by faith’s firm settlement.
God helps us overcome our unbelief through His authority
For us to follow His instructions of certainty
And be admonished to do what He requires with our humility
Truly seeking His favour by faith’s surrender to His sovereignty.
God helps us overcome our unbelief through His assurance
For us to uphold His promises against deceit and ignorance
And be exhorted to continue along joyous perseverance
Truly exalting His name with worshipful exuberance.
