Key Verse – Colossians 1:10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God.
FAITH IN GOD WHO ENABLES US TO WALK WORTHY OF HIM
God enables us to walk worthy of Him by His grace
Despite our human nature’s carnal ways
So that we can be separated against unholy place
As our faith strives to run patiently the Christian race.
God enables us to walk worthy of Him by His commandments
Despite our worldly predicaments
So that we can be freed against guilt’s judgments
As our faith overcomes skeptical sentiments.
God enables us to walk worthy of Him by His fortitude
Despite our arrogant attitude
So that we can be purged against ingratitude
As our faith trusts Him to increase through Scripture’s magnitude.
God enables us to walk worthy of Him by His guidance
Despite our foolishness and ignorance
So that we can be warned against materialism’s elegance
As our faith marches toward righteousness’ assurance.
God enables us to walk worthy of Him by His watchfulness
Despite our unbelief’s destructiveness
So that we can be purified against deceit’s possessiveness
As our faith braces up to obey Him with blissfulness.
God enables us to walk worthy of Him by His Word
Despite our vanities of worthless record
So that we can be sanctified against idolatry’s discord
As our faith clings to Him and the Spirit’s sword.
God enables us to walk worthy of Him by His wisdom
Despite our haughty confidence in fleshly freedom
So that we can be shielded against boredom
As our faith perseveres to serve, seeking first His kingdom.
