FAITH IN GOD WHO ENABLES US TO OBEY HIS VOICE
God enables us to obey His voice against carnality
Great is He in subduing our destructive carnality
That pursues after our spirituality…
By faith, let’s keep ourselves from corruption’s impurity.
God enables us to obey His voice against selfishness
Great is He in checking our motives’ foolishness
That moves us from blessings’ fruitfulness…
By faith, let’s dwell in His love’s steadfastness.
God enables us to obey His voice against fleshly lust
Great is He in smiting our futility midst vanity-rust
That makes us suffer because of dishonest trust…
By faith, let’s submit to Him which is a sure must.
God enables us to obey His voice against covenant-breaking
Great is He in cutting our associations from disastrous linking
That leads to our defeat along snares so wrecking…
By faith, let’s avoid ties with those which are evil-provoking.
God enables us to obey His voice against covetous spoilage
Great is He in raising us from vexation of worldliness-drainage
That causes our downfall due to transgressions’ damage…
By faith, let’s walk along His righteousness of holy advantage.
God enables us to obey His voice against false teaching
Great is He in driving us toward truth-searching
That makes us strong, upheld by Biblical preaching…
By faith, let’s pray ceaselessly, while His mercy, beseeching.
God enables us to obey His voice against deadly silence
Great is He in awakening us with His message of service-excellence
That opens to us opportunities of soulwinning prevalence…
By faith, let’s glorify Him through His love’s opulence.
