FAITH IN GOD WHO CHEERS FOR US
God cheers for us midst His joy of our salvation
Always affirming faith’s hope along His granted redemption
To gladden our journey toward righteous sanctification
Against temptation and persecution.
God cheers for us midst His assurance of heaven’s best
Always brightening faith’s glow along His holiness so blest
To brighten our sight toward stewardship-zest
Against slothfulness and indolence-pest.
God cheers for us midst His grants of goodness
Always upholding faith’s strength along His steadfastness
To encourage our spirituality toward active productiveness
Against worthlessness and fruitlessness.
God cheers for us midst His truth of Scriptural certainty
Always increasing faith’s wisdom along His immutability
To guard our beliefs toward discipleship’s profitability
Against futility and vanity.
God cheers for us midst His instruction of sincere worship
Always illumining faith’s trust along His leadership
To direct our fellowship toward ministry-partnership
Against hypocrisy and hardship.
God cheers for us midst His favour of delight
Always molding faith’s character along His Biblical plight
To shape our attitudes toward servanthood-might
Against pride and selfishness-height.
God cheers for us midst His answer of grace
Always approving faith’s performance along His divine ways
To help our prayer-life toward surrender and submission’s place
Against discontentment and ingratitude while running the Christian race.
