Faith Enough
FAITH ENOUGH
I met you when I was young
But you knew me in the womb.
I met you at church
They praised your name.
Growing I learned the truth
Dying without you would be tragic.
Living with you was the best choice
That’s all I understood.
In high school, I experienced two lives
One with you on Sundays
One the rest of the week.
Why was I this way?
Maturity came years later
By then I could look back and see
Who I really was those early years.
A young man who was afraid to be.
I denied you in front of friends
It was the life I lived
Peter denied you three times
Fear for his life, me just to fit in.
It has been quite a while
Since I lived that way.
I am truly sorry
So thankful you forgave.
I’ve grown so much these last twenty years
More and more each day I read your glorious Word
I truly believe with my spirit
I have Faith Enough to become much more.
