Faith As It Is
Faith* is taking God at His Word; that’s it!
Believing He is as He said He is
Omnipotent, immutable, perfect
Almighty Creator, loving Saviour.
Faith is trusting the Lord that He is
Surely Author of life, breath Source indeed
Imparting divine nature by His grace
Quickening soul slain in iniquities.
Faith is enjoying existence with peace
Despite turmoil from tribulation angst
Staying serene, albeit tempted to doubt
Kept in the Sovereign --- fortress of heart.
Faith is settling me to triumph in Christ
Relying in His power; such surely is…
Yielding to Him Who knows what’s always best
Though mind can’t fully comprehend it well.
Faith is living along eternal view
Serving my Master; caring for others
Following His steps … never blind, nor fool
Here am I blest and grateful --- Amen; yes!
*Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
