Faith
I have a story of amazing faith to tell,
of three guts named Hananiah, Azariah, and Mishael.
You know them as Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego,
their names don't really matter that much though.
They were captured by a Babylonian king,
who wanted them to learn wisdom, science and things.
They all grew in knowledge and wisdom,
becoming the wisest in all the kingdom.
Not willing at all to eat the king's meat,
vegetables, beans and soup did they eat.
An image of the king was made, he said
"all must bow and worship me,
but my three friends would not bend a knee.
He didn't know the power of God he must learn,
causing all who didn't worship him to be burned.
They told him God was who they held in love,
and His power comes from above.
The had furnance heated hotter than norm,
then bound them all by the arm.
He order them to be thrown in the midst,
the heat was so intense it burnt his guards to a crisp.
As the king was looking through the port,
he asked was it not three?, yet I see a fourth.
They said the king is a nimrod?,
he said no, the fourth looks like the Son of God.
The king called them out as he came near,
Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego had not a smear.
They came forth with no smell, burn or singed,
God makes all man's power become unhinged.
So if you think that you're smart or brainy,
remember all the world's wisdom fits in God's pinky.
