Fairy Constanza

Along bosoms of maiden moon Embroidered wings adorn the pond; As fairies sidestep from beyond! Where curtsies in the forest bloom, My breath abates until they gleam Into the gentle trellis scene. Soft flicker chases tinted June When pixies wink for one invite, To gaily waltz in vines of light. I loop in spells like hazed festoon On lacquered weeds, the child in me Answers the lure …so ever free. Bewitching flights, now gone too soon While impish waves begin to fade; That in my dream, eyes slit like blade. Along bosoms of maiden moon Where curtsies in the forest bloom, A flicker chases tinted June. I loop in spells like hazed festoon Bewitching flights, now gone too soon. Really enjoyed this write. I was wondering if I may copy and give this to my Mother-in-law she loves Fairies? She has a collection of them. Congratulations on your win. Lee

Nette, Congratulations on your placement in Andrea’s “Can you Constanza? Contest.” There were so many really amazing entries we had a very difficult time deciding. We had to go by who followed the form best, and whose poem was most creative. I spent 4 and half hours going over the poems and Andrea, a lot longer. Thank you so much for your wonderful entry Mahalo, Connie

Don't wake too soon, your dream has yet to end! What a beautiful and delightful, energetic and intriguing poem! I'm truly amazed when you write, you have such a talented quill within your possession, one that writes with eloquence! I've just got the October bug, with Halloween possessed within me! I hope you can bear with me and all my Halloween poetry, I just find it enlightening and calming at the same time! Your poem here sure did bring a calm feel with it as well, awesome piece, Great Work!!
