fairy

where shadows play in woods
lies the tale of moonlit fay
whispered through the ancient trees
hidden from the gentle gale

they dance in circles under the starry skies
casting spells in crystal jars
with eyes gleaming like dewdrops
wings of azure tint

their laughter soft as light rain
echoes through the wide forest
wardens of the twilight gap
in their secret shade

when the mortals wander lost
they guide them to safer zone
but beware not all is kind
In the fey land shine

What a sweet poem. I wanted to try this challenge but I can't understand the form. Good luck for a win, Jay

I feel like having been transported to a fairy land. Enjoyed the description of their habitat and their dance. Believe or not, what mysteries abound in nature.

A poem of comforting woods, but ends with "in the fey land shine". I like the implication that the fairies may not always be gentle. This was a mystical poem.
