Fairies Under Moonlight

Deep within the ancient woods of Ireland There lies hidden within its floral beauty A hidden ring of mushrooms in a vast clearing Where the fairies come out to play Under the night of the full moon. They dance merrily in the moonlight Its rays acting as a spotlight to the dancers Illuminating their wings with its glow Making them shine bright as the stars above. For one to come across a Fairies Ring Is a sight to bewilder upon seeing such wonder Hypnotized by a bewitching display of enchantment As one catches a rare performance of their frolics. Yet just as the sun rises It was now time for the moon to set As it bids the night farewell Signals the fairies to depart Returning to the magic realm from which they came. Even though they returned home What one has seen with their eyes The merriment and bliss of their dance The joy and happiness they brought to the air Brings tears to a lucky lad's eyes.
