We all have met and known some fair-weather friends
Pretenders to be supportive to the end
They Boost your confidence for awhile
By acting supportive and worthwhile
Until the day you are no longer needed
Then they act more arrogant and conceited
You try to contact them and try to reach out
Still no contact, you are starting to doubt
It is clear they are no longer supportive or a friend
Just a fake acquaintance with no desire to make amends
A painful lesson we must learn in life, it often feels
Like a piece of your heart missing, cut by out by a knife
