Faded Love
At times i find myself lost in reason
Time sure does go by fast in our lives, or I say our personal prison
Is not the moon so radiant as it stares at the sun
Doesn't the heart ache when we love and love is absent
If only I were the wind to caress your face once more in invisibility
The days seem to burn into history ever so quickly
My soul fears about tomorrow and what it might be
How long ago was it when the butterflies in my stomach were set free
I almost forgot how love even felt
Oh the days I had your warm embrace
How i wish those steps I could retrace
So different today would I be seen in joy and glee
I often step outside my dreams and try and skip to a fading reality
You were yesterday and not today
Only the memories linger still
To kiss you once more I'd give anything
Doesn't our past love haunt you too
Perhaps it wasn't as real as it was to my heart
Oh soul of mine wont you smile with me
I miss you so, perhaps in our next life we will be once again
Until then my sweet love, don't forget me as time forgets us all
Be still and let me be like the whispering winds of tales of past love
Of yesterday when it was about us
