Fade Away

This tear stained soul
   called out in pain
The day our pleasures
   fell like rain
Your softest touch
   my skin knew well
Now scars my heart
   with pangs from hell

Fade away Nirvana, fade away
Fade away Nirvana, fade away

Mournful thoughts cut
   like Blue North Winds
As I strain to hear
   your voice again
I've tried new words
   and sang our song
But a change of lyrics
   just seemed wrong

Fade away Nirvana, fade away
Fade away Nirvana, fade away

I miss the quiet
   spent at your side
With love, no one
   could make us hide
But now the noise
   of less things said
Drowns out the hope
   that's left for dead

Fade away Nirvana, fade away
Fade away Nirvana, fade away

It’s my forth and last. This one has put me in a wheelchair forever. But it least it’s motorized. 61/2 mph, watch out, here comes Charlie

Thanks FJ, doing much better now that I’m back home. I’ve had my fill of spine surgeries. Thanks so much for asking...

A love like this may fade from sight, but it will never fade from the heart's memory. Beautiful lines, Charlie.

This is quite touching Charlie--the scene flashes in front of the reader (listener) in elegant rhythm of hearts. Lovely lyrics!
