Facing Time

Do you ever think about others Who've been in your shoes How many have suffered Not knowing the truth Theres choices we make Struggles some face We do what it takes Consequences to pay Some act & don't think They'll ever be caught Days turn to weeks Behind bars you'll rot Some people will say There's things we'll regret Then comes that day We wish we'd forget Some people care Others just use No self-respect Just an excuse Sometimes we do things We wish we could take back Some will get clean Get their lives back on track Not everything works We're not all the same Some always hurt Life's not a game What would you do If given a choice Help the abused Block out their voice Months turn to years Nobody will be there Cry out your tears Because life is unfair You've got to realize You've got to change If you're "Facing Time" It's already too late
