Eyes of the Demon

The red eyed demon beckons,
the little girl hangs her head.
The red eyes demon smiles
as little girl rises from her bed.

The red eyed demon snickers
when little girl presents her arm,
the red eyed demon snarls;
little girl's got LOVE on her arm.

The red eyes demon hits,
the little girl falls down
the red eyes demon scratches.
Little girl's arm bleeds on her gown.

The red eyes demon claws deeper,
so little girl's word is scarred in deep
the red eyes demon retreats.
The little girl looks at the carved word, and weeps.

So sad. There are real monsters in this world, and this is what I am sensing from your write. Those who hurt children are the worst of all. This breaks my heart. Powerful sad writing. Love, Shar
