Eyes of Poet
In your eyes poet I see the beauty.
Your eyes paint worlds for me to dream.
Beautiful flowing floral fields of essence.
Veils of shadows float through your words.
Storms become gently tame by your
presence as you speak them to me.
You dance me in a waltz in the crystal
heavens great ballroom under shimmering
flake diamond stars all aglow.
You take my fears and tears and replace
them with your gentle thoughts
For Poet it is true in your eyes I see
all wonders you want to show me.
Mysteries known by you tales of old
majestic paths you have trodden.
Seas where we can bathe our souls
pools of cooling waters of healing powers.
High mountains where we watch the sunset
wave good-bye for another day gone by.
Your laughter in the night hours
silence is the gift you gave to me.
Warmth from your soul smooth and
knowing how to release my bondage.
Setting me free to go with you
in the waking hours of sweet dawn.
On this journey of two souls
most of all Poet deep within your
soul I have found a haven of wealth.
That touches gentle to erase the eon of fate.
Caresses from your words like sweet
balm heal my eternal wounds.
I found a port to anchor in when
gazing into your beautiful eyes.
