eyes opened slowly
almost like a last farewell
tears omnipresent
his eyelids closed forever 
while she still wiped tears away

I took this one
a different route, 
hopefully she still likes it :)*

Definitely a different approach this time, Wilma-- and if I may borrow pd's phrase-- a soul dropper :( -- what a very sad yet beautifully done piece missy-- definitely like it-- :) gosh are you still up for some craziness?? maybe you should give me the prompt this time?? ok but if you're not up for it-- here's your next one: sticking with the eyes-- eyelashes :)

Such a touching poem, Wilma. When a loved one's eyes close forever, the one left behind feels deep pain. You and Nikko are doing great writes on these "body parts of choice." I'm sure she'll love it too. Love, Carolyn
