Eye of the Eye

My favourite pastime is to sunbake
lying on my sunlounge upon the deck.
With my Pan flute CD softly playing-
soon, my mind and body become one.

Relaxed I let myself soar above
I reach great heights while soaking the sun.
This time is for me, and me alone-
with no interruptions or demands.

Alive and free to enjoy this time
and so aware of this is who I am.
Unable to resist the sun’s rays-
knowing she will warm my heart and soul.

Andrea Dietrich April 6, 2026 at 12:31 AM Oh I to loved to lie in the sun. I did it for many years until I got into my 60s and didn't find much time for it any more! We call it suntanning it laying out. Do you ever use those terms? Christine Watts April 8, 2026 at 8:11 PM Hi Andrea Yes suntanning is also used here too but Prefer sunbaking lol I still lie out every opportunity I can find, but monitor the suns heat and will stop if it is too hot i have a great tan most of the year it is my therapy and Vit D making Cheers Chrisx
