Eye Catching

I close my eyes and what do I see blackness and darkness engulfing me
Still is the night no stars are shinning, no peaceful thoughts on the horizon
No crickets chirping no bells ringing, no humming birds humming
No night sounds singing

To what do I owe this silent night, when all is quiet, oh what a fright
What is happening, what is going on
The darkness illuminates the night like the quiet storm
And then I realized what I needed to do

I opened my eyes and the sky was blue
