Expedition
Into the night we go,
On its tranquil sea, our boats we row,
Through its wood, we travel,
There's a mystery we seek to unravel.
There are treasures hidden in the night,
Away from encroaching light,
We go through the night's gate,
Buoyed by courage and fate.
The creatures of the night trouble our minds,
We're assailed by tempestuous winds,
We push beyond the borders,
We're bewildered by the shadowed wonders.
We find a book with its pages turning,
Haloed by the morning,
We're chauffeured back,
We can see through the dark.
