Expecting Nothing

Taste the tender struggle
in the inner soul
of this abomination
who’s yearning for passion…
and affection
from a flame
that doesn’t scorn
a bamboozle soul like me…
but from a flame
that is willing to bloom…
and attempt to cherish
a relationship
expecting nothing in return
but me.
