Expectation Lesson

Having expectations will kill your hopes every time
And that leads to nothing but disappointment
Why is it that we know this fact but never remember it when we need to,
and then,
still get ourselves into the same old situation?
Why can't it be like getting lost in the same place twice?
You never do it a third time!
You would think by now, I would get it and avoid the trap
Do we ever learn the expectation lesson?
