Exactly As I Am

I have walked twisted paths leading to here
   have been lost in darkness and felt great love
there have been mistakes that I do regret
   yet, on this vast journey
      I have found me . . . 
and "will you take me as I am?" 

you will find me most days in nature
   reading a book or just resting my mind
alone-   for I must have quietude
   I find great joy in art
      and get lost in writing . . . 
so, accept me-   exactly as I am
                                please . . .
