Everything Will Be Fine

Oscar made his last trip to the vet,
in tears with empty basket, you came home,
mourning the loss of more than just a pet
that sat with you, and now you sit alone.
No more begging for treats or just a fuss,
life may seem hollow now, and it may be
hard to get used to now just three of us,
 you'll pull through,with Isis the cat, and me.
Group hug.

Living in the country makes it possible to ensure that pets who have been loved for years can be buried in sight of the house to be remembered daily for the love they showed. Great write and genuine compassion for the pet you immortalized.
