Everything happens for a reason

They say everything happens for a reason,
Something I always believed to be true -
Reasons we sometimes cannot fathom,
But reasons just the same.

Everything happens for a reason,
I know this to be true,
But I just can't understand
Why it had to be you.

What plausible reason could there be
For you to be taken away from me?

"It was their time",
Is what everyone says to me,
However, I can't seem to agree.

Not when you had your whole life ahead of you,
Meant to follow your dreams
And make us prouder
Than life itself.

Not when you had so much to teach me,
So much left from you to learn,
For you to be there for the big moments
That you always so much loved to show the world.

You were meant to be glittering this world
With all the shine of your presence,
But instead you;re dancing in Heaven
While I continue to grieve
The gap of your absences.
