Everyday America
People eating their daily fill
Mothers popping their daily pill
Fathers drinking their daily beer
Hunters shooting their daily deer
Rain pouring on the city
Parents looking for each other’s pity
Children playing very gaily
Tourists visiting the town of Raleigh
It’s these days that I can’t stand
These days that go by and are oh so bland
When the boredom sets in,
That’s when my head spins
The days when nothing seems to flow
The days when everyone just wants a show
People are just never satisfied
Until they are undyingly gratified
