Everybody, Let's Dance
Bright Disco multi-colored dance floors
Flashing a mesh of many bright hues.
Mini skirts twirled above sexy
thighs, like shapely trees,
Sprouting out of thigh high boots
Lovely hair, perfect make up, too.
Men..so sharp, master dancers!
Clubs had smoking allowed with their
Circular rings adding to the ambiance.
The overwhelming joy of dance!
Rising to lofty sparkling ceilings,
Dancing until the break of dawn.
Ah, 'twas my dream, joy and inspiration
Music was magically different, then.
Flirting was the very best.
A game well played?
Your reward was the handsomest.
A lover, perchance a husband?
Let the music play forever
in my dancing soul.
Because when it stops~I will then be old.
Nights of freedom, much loving,
ebullient laughter.
You, me, those Chicago nights, forever after!
In my soul, forever do live.
Forever young, gossamer impressions...
