Every Song Tells a Story
I miss the feeling of going for a midnight drive, having the windows down, blaring our favourite song, three, two, one and it was all gone. We were defiantly driving with one headlight, but we both knew that it was going to be alright. We loved to drive all night because we knew the DJ would play it again. Every now and then we would drive to your mom’s house out in Simcoe, everybody around knew we were burnin’ it down. Hey girl, you know what you were doing with the beat of the music, always had a way to make me loose it. We both knew that together we were fire and gasoline, but we both lived like there was no tomorrow. There is always a map that leads me to you, as twisted as it sounds you didn’t know that I was insane, but you weren’t to blame. Sometimes, you have to say take care and look the other way, but am I wrong if a stutter through the fallout? We’re going to let it burn as we swing life away. Until all of me loves all of you, we’ll be singing American pie till its 3AM, while we’re counting stars in the middle of a hurricane. We’ll meet again when it’s the summer of 69’ because it’s where my demons hide. I hope in the future we can go for one last midnight drive.
