Everlasting Stars

The ex's take the square and another moment disappears as the checkerboard plaid host attempts a sophomoric joke my eyes dusty from the 70's painted on glitter spray yawn as time won't slip away into dreams of headstands and pirouettes catapulting into an air of floating hearts released from the jar along with fireflies under everlasting stars

If this is the result of knee surgery, then I am booking an operation for both my knees!

Somehow this takes me to a surreal moment in time, Tim! I love it, especially when approaching the end. // paul

I can just hear the banter between Paul and Charlie Weaver now. If those thoughts linger long it may be time for some different drugs, just sayin...

May the moment of everlasting stars never end. I see this entry as two folded because I see beauty and I see play and wit. Either way this is poetic but I'll stand on the side of beauty. Well done.

Jean is right, but everything in due time... Very soon the pills will be gone, and so is the pain, yes? But beautiful poetry like this will survive. It will!

You are very funny Jean. If I wasn't in constant pain I'd stop them now.

..a throwback to the days when t.v. wasn't so scripted and no laugh track was needed as it was genuinely funny. The last line is a beauty Tim, it has an ethereal feel. Splendid writing! have a really nice weekend :-) blessings, lynn

It feels as if there are two poems in one here, sounds like someone fell asleep watching old tv shows and had a beautiful dream. I'll take Joan Rivers to block. Nice one Tim. Very creative.
